Training for the past Week

Since I was on vacation last week I didn’t have a chance to upload my training logs.  So here they are for the past week.

Wednesday, 2/3/2016
2 miles in 18:00
1 minute faster than Tuesday!
6:00pm-Week 8 Day 2 of Hatch Squat Cycle
Back Squat:
1 x 4 at 100#
1 x 4 at 110#
1 x 4 at 115#
1 x 4 at 125#
Front Squat:
1 x 5 at 70#
1 x 5 at 80#
1 x 5 at 85#
1 x 5 at 85#
Squats did not feel too bad today!

Friday, 2/5/2016
6:30am – dropped in at a Crossfit Box in Florida
Push Jerk
I did the sets of 5 at 65#, sets of 3 at 75# and the singles at 85#.  Not very heavy, but the coach was helping me on my form so I was focusing more on that than the weight.
3 Round for Time of:
10 front-rack lunges 135/95
20 Wall-balls
30 Double Unders
Score: 8:04 at 85# for lunges
1K row for time
Score: 4:34
This was a little tough.  I am not used to doing lunges, we don’t do them that often at my box (and not that heavy) so I opted not to Rx, but 85# was still pretty challenging.  I am still a little sore from them.

Saturday, 2/6/2016
8:30am morning Run
I was originally going to just run two miles, but it was nice out and the park was so pretty that I just kept going.  It felt good!

Sunday, 2/7/2016
Mainly a rest day, but I did walk around all day at Busch Gardens with my Brother, sister-in-law and two nieces.

Monday, 2/8/2016
6:00pm Crossfit WOD
Pistol Practice
Full Snatch
I did them at 65#.  My snatches suck, and I was mainly focusing on my form.
8 min AMRAP:
10 thrusters 95/65
8 burpess over the bar
Score: 4+1 Rx
This sucked.  Thrusters and burpees are a hellish combination.  Actually, thrusters and anything is hellish.  It didn’t help that my legs are still slightly sore from Friday!

I did my Day 1 of Hatch Squat today since I was not able to do it on Saturday or Sunday.  It was not too bad, especially considering I was still a little sore from Friday’s lunges.
I do not think I will be posting my daily meals.  It’s too much work to do training and meals.  I will do “What I ate Wednesdays,” and if anyone is really interested my MyFitnessPal diary is public and I will add the link to that on the side bar.
